The mission of the Center for International and Security Studies at the University of Maryland (CISSM) is to “conduct research, inform policy debates, and help current and future leaders find creative solutions to complex global challenges.”

The CISSM uses three themes in their research:

  • Reducing Risks from Dual-Use Technologies
  • Enhancing Human Security
  • Improving Multi-Stakeholder Governance
